Zest Software is one of those companies that expects its employees to contribute to the community during working hours. We work using Extreme Programming as best practices in software development. Our team consists of people from different backgrounds each providing a different set of skills that compliment each other.

Our goal is to provide high quality software which is tailored to the requirements of our customers. Where possible we search for generic use cases and try to release generic products to the community under either the GPL or ZPL license.

Science: A Principled Approach to Online Publication Listings and Scientific Resource Sharing (Netherlands )
The Max Planck Institute (MPI) for Psycholinguistics has developed a service to manage and present the scholarly output of their researchers. The PubMan database manages publication metadata and full-texts of publications published by their scholars. The PubMan metadata is harvested into the MPI website CMS (Plone). The system developed for the creation of the publication lists, allows the researcher to create a selection of the harvested data in a variety of formats.

XBRL Dutch Taxonomy Project (Netherlands )
The Dutch government intends to reduce the administrative burden of businesses with 25 percent. One of the projects to realise this reduction is a joint effort of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Justice to use eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL). This Dutch Taxonomy Project will moderate en facilitate developments in certain financial reporting chains.
