RedTurtle is specialized in consulting and developing intranet and internet solutions based on Plone.

Based in Ferrara, Italy, RedTurtle Technology is a customer-oriented company whose motto, "Sharing knowledge about knowledge sharing", conveys an open attitude: in solving groupware and content management problems, as well as in the production of open CMS Plone-based solutions compliant with accessibility regulations, we see the autonomy we provide to the customer as the most valuable element of our strategy.
RedTurtle Technology comes into existence in 1999 to work in the Internet / intranet field with special attention to the Open Source world, and objectives including:

  • design and production of bespoke complex applications, made on Customer’s specifications,
  • development of RedTurtle’s own turnkey solutions,
  • managed hosting services based on RedTurtle's own Server Room.

Since early Nineties, the charter members have  been dealing with Internet technologies. Since then, the research for groundbreaking solutions continues uninterruptedly, granting an advisory and consulting ability with very few competitors in the national market. This goes with the highest qualifications achieved by the technical coordinators, whose continuing education is based on the attendance to the most significant Italian and international technical events, as well as on the involvment of our people in national and worldwide technical communities.

RedTurtle, a firm believer in the Open Source model, has always released its source code even in closed-source environments. An IBM partner since 2000, in October 2007 joined ZEA Partners (http://www.zeapartners.org/), the international no profit organization among worldwide Zope and Plone developers.

RedTurtle is actively involved in the promotion of PloneGov in Italy, and was the first Italian Plone company whose customers joined the PloneGov initiative

ACOI - Associazione Chirurghi Ospedalieri Italiani (Italy )
Founded in 1980, ACOI (Associazione Italiana Chirurghi Ospedalieri, Italian Association of Hospital Surgeons) is among the most influential scientific associations in Italy, pursuing technical, political and ethical objectives. RedTurtle has developed a PLONE-based solutions for the ACOI institutional portal: the portal structure is conceived for ease of use and accessibility, an achievement that we regard as quite impressive, in the light of the diversity of issues in the Association's focus. The portal is meant also as a scientific reference for ACOI members as well as for the general public. The compromise between exhaustiveness and clarity has been carefully balanced.
AUSL Ferrara (Italy )
Ferrara AUSL (Azienda Unità Sanitaria Locale) is an Health Institution operating in the province of Ferrara. It provides health services and social care to citizens. It manages all the hospitals (there are seven of them in all the province) and outpatients' departments.
Associazione Reno Galliera (Italy )
Plone’s qualities make it perfectly fit for collaborative Intranet and portals: knowing this potential, the Intercommunal Association “Reno Galliera”, Bologna province, has chosen RedTurtle’s Plone – based proposal for the restructuring of its Intranet. The entry of Plone in the Intercommunal Association will give each Municipality a better knowledge the capabilities of this flexible CMS, and this lets RedTurtle hope that new opportunities may arise for Plone municipal portals and intranets.
Chamber of Commerce of Ferrara (Italy )
The Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Craft Trade and Agriculture of Ferrara is an independent public body that supports and promotes the general interests of companies in Ferrara.
Chamber of Commerce of Ravenna (Italy )
The Chamber of Commerce of Ravenna is the reference institution for all the trading, industrial and agricultural activities in the province of Ravenna, world noted for art and tourism. Its website is closely related with Ferrara's Chamber of Commerce's, as they share the same Plone solution.

FerraraForum.com (Italy )
Promoted by the Chamber of Commerce and the Province of Ferrara, the "Tourism Forum of Ferrara Province" is an experimental discussion forum about tourism conceived as a virtual meeting point for all the operators, the businesses, the institutions, and the associations of the Ferrarese territory, as well as to any subject interested in keeping alive the debate about themes related with tourism. On their part, both the Chamber of Commerce and the Province use FerraraForum to publish reference norms, laws, publications and news related with the tourism business, including announcements of financing initiatives promoted by the Chamber of Commerce and the Province themselves, as well as by other institutions. Still in its first weeks of activity, in a tourism-oriented territory like Ferrara and its province, FerraraForum has the potential of becoming a successful initiative.
Informagiovani Arezzo (Italy )
The Informagiovani portal is a showcase of cultural, free time and professional opportunities for the young people of the City of Arezzo. It needs to be accessible and effective, because the kind of people using the portal is much at ease with the new technologies and has high expectations: and this effectiveness is the fruit of a correct design, and of good policies about the kind of contents to be published. The task of content management is accomplished, under the supervision of the City of Arezzo, by two co-ops very capable in catching the current intellectual climate, Beta Coop Sociale di tipo B ONLUS (www.coopbeta.it) and Il Contesto Piccola Società Cooperativa (www.ilcontesto.net). Good contents and good CMS are the key to success for www.ig-ar.it
