Location United Kingdom
Firm Size Large (>7 FTE)

Isotoma is a UK based web application development company focusing on Plone, Django, Turbogears and Twisted. Our team of 30 developers have built Plone sites for a huge range of organisations including multinationals (for example Nokia and EMI), government bodies (Department for Children, Schools and Families) and charities (Action Aid, Hope for Home, British Society for Rheumatology). Many of our customers also use us for hosting; we have over 90 machines under our management at data centres in the UK and Germany.

We've been working with Plone since before version 1 and have a wide range of implementations under our belts from the simple to the extremely complex.  Our sites range from the small but highly designed (like Blue Latitude or eModeration) to the huge (like The Key and MyActionAid).

As well as using Plone as a web site publishing platform we have also built a number of intranet and extranet applications in Plone for customers like EMI, Nokia, Littlewoods Shop Direct and House of Fraser.

In addition to our development services we provide bespoke hosting solutions and advice, guidance and consultancy around performance, scaling and enterprise integration (for example with internal Single Sign On systems).

Case Studies

Education: Education Portal for School Leaders: Use The Key (United Kingdom)
Use The Key is one of Isotoma's most successful Plone implementations to date. Without the power and flexibility of Plone we wouldn't have been able to achieve a project of this scale and complexity ready as quickly and to the standard we did.

The integration of features such as video and web analytics have made this a real success for Hope for Home and we look forward to working on further initiatives with them.
