Cogapp is a consultancy, design and production company for online and interactive communications. Within this field, Cogapp specialises in work that generates high value, long lasting and innovative results including web sites, interactive installations, mobile applications and electronic publications. Background

Founded in 1985, Cogapp is a pioneer of the digital media revolution. Many of the company’s original clients were early adopters in the museums sector. The high standards, long-term thinking and public service ethos of these museum clients has helped give Cogapp’s work a distinctive character. Now evolved over more than twenty years, this user-centered strategic approach has become increasingly sophisticated and versatile.

 

Clients

The company is currently working with public sector bodies, museums, broadcasters, education suppliers, publishers, online start-ups, charities, health care organisations and larger corporates.

Clients range in size from international organisations to entry level start-ups. Current clients include Manchester United, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the British Museum, the BBC, HSBC, the Natural Environment Research Council, the National Portrait Gallery, the Home Office and many smaller organisations.

 

Capabilities

The company has particular expertise in strategy consulting, user-centred design, information architecture, identity and brand development, web development, graphic design, content management, e-learning, e-commerce, online collections, interactive installations, electronic publishing and open source software.

The project was commissioned by the UK Government’s Department for Culture, Media and Sport and has a seven figure budget.

Cogapp employs 25 professional staff who between them share more than 180 years of industry experience. It operates nationally and internationally from a base in Brighton, England and an office in Washington DC. The company also has an extensive network of long-term associates who supply additional specialist skills as required.

Property Review Group (United Kingdom)
British Railways Board (Residuary) established an autonomous Property Review Group, to determine whether sites owned by BRBR should be retained for rail or integrated transport use, offered to the rail industry, devolved administrations or local authorities or released for open market disposal. PRG undertakes consultation with rail industry stakeholders to determine whether a site has a realistic prospect of rail or other transport use in the foreseeable future.
